Meet Pastor Brad Hendrix!
A native of Palmetto, GA, Brad grew up a mile from a cow farm and twenty miles from the world's busiest airport. At the age of 5, he became a born-again, baptized believer of Jesus! Growing up in Christian home, Brad's family was active in the church and community. At the age of 15, Brad's life began to head toward the ministry. Going with a group from his youth group to do missions work in downtown Atlanta, Brad felt the Spirit develop a love for serving God and people - something that sticks with him today!
Brad graduated from Mercer University (Macon, GA - May 2006) with a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity. He also is a two-time graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC - May 2009 & December 2010), holding the Master of Divinity Christian Ethics & Biblical Languages as well as the Master of Theology in Christian Ethics.
Ordained on his 25th birthday by his home church (Flat Creek Baptist Church - Fayetteville, GA - 2009), Brad has been in full-time ministry work. He has served as Senior Pastor in South Carolina, Maryland, and now Kentucky. Brad has led national mission trips to Corbin, KY and Cleveland, Ohio. He has also been on international mission trips to Samayac, Guatemala, the Amazon Jungles of Peru, and Western Romania. In addition to serving on the Christian Life & Public Affairs Committees in both the South Carolina and Maryland/Delaware Baptist Conventions, Brad was a Seminary Fellow at Southeastern Seminary, teaching courses in Evangelism, Missions, and Discipleship.
Married to Becky since December 2018, they are raising two teenagers: Taylor and Logan. Meeting and serving together at various church outreach events, God brought this blended family together allowing a young, widowed mother of two to meet her husband.
With his first Sunday being February 16, 2025, Pastor Brad became Senior Pastor of Hart Missionary Baptist Church. He looks forward in ministering to the people of London, Laurel County, Kentucky, and beyond. Get to know our Pastor! You may just find out that he enjoys hunting and fishing, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and UGA football, walking/hiking trails, eating at "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants, making people laugh, visiting people, telling life stories, and most of all spending time with his home and church family!
